A Sleepy Thought

Another late night post before I sleep. :D I have a habit of doing that and well it's a bad one. :P hahah Moving on... What I would like to share with you guys at this hour in the early morning is well organisation! How well have you arranged your things? Are you a organised person or a messy one? How do you get into the routine of keeping everything in order so that nothing goes missing? Well, here's a tip. Take it from one lazy person to another. I'm the opposite of organised. I don't really mind messes but then again I have gotten into the habit of keeping everything organised so that I can find my things when I want or need it. Occasionally, my belongings are scattered everywhere but even when scattered, I have a weird organising chart which I alone know how to navigate and find things from it. One of the contributing factors to me being a messy person is laziness. I can be extremely lazy when I want to. I'm the type of person which can just laze the day away without any concern for anything else. This sometimes leads me to another huge problem! The greatest enemy of mankind! PROCRASTINATION! That is probably my favourite action apart from eating and sleeping. I love to procrastinate as I don't have to do the things I'm supposed to do at that point of time. However, this also means that once a deadline is near, I usually have to rush like a mad person just to make ends meet. After a few years of doing the same thing, I finally told myself that I had to stop and pick myself up from the couch and get things organised and done and say goodbye to my mortal enemy procrastination!

Oh! Trust me it was extremely difficult to break the bad habit and the leisurely daily routine. However, there are ways to overcome all this. First I started telling myself over and over again the tasks of the day which I have to complete on that day, this usually results in me getting annoyed and going off to complete them. Second, remember the annoyance I feel when needing something urgently but being unable to find it due to all the clutter everywhere. Third, remind myself to do it everyday. Once you are able to keep doing it for twenty-one days, it will automatically become a new routine for you. Fourth, set goals and rewards for yourself once you have achieved that goal. Five, one must never give in to the temptation of giving up as if that happens then it would all be a waste of time and effort and one would have to start all over from a scratch again. Those are the five steps I practice so I can prevent myself from procrastinating and I'm a much neater person now thanks to that. :)

The beginning was hell to me. I suffered and was thinking why I put myself through this torture. However, the benefits are excellent! I procrastinate so much less now. Which gives me more time to myself, less last minute rush,  more sleep, healthier skin and etc. there are just too many to list! Plus I have more closet space now that I'm more organised. Also this actually helps my assignment as I would have more time to do research for information. Overall, it doesn't put me in a hurry all the time. More personal time and I find that I also have more time to do my hobbies. :D I also got better results at assignments, healthier me. Also since I have sufficient sleep, this makes my mind clearer and sharper at the start of the day. Now I won't have to go looking for things I need like some mad woman when I can't find them. Haha those were the days where I ran around in the entire house looking for something. Now I know where all my things are and so I don't have to run around like a mad person anymore. Although there are times where I still laze around doing nothing, but the times where I'm productive is more than when I'm unproductive. :D So don't be lazy! XD heheheh okay I should be off to bed now. :P My lids are really really heavy. I should get some shut eye now. I'll finish my other blogpost first thing tomorrow. This is all for now.

TTFN :)
